2026 Assignment: visual branding


AJNA

This hand-drawn branding was designed for Ajna (Magnifik) to reflect the organic way his music grows and evolves. Instead of relying on strict geometry or overly polished shapes, the wordmark embraces natural lines and subtle imperfections, giving it a sense of movement and life, much like the creative process of Magnifik.

The identity connects closely to the atmosphere around Magnifik & Ajna: warm, open, and consistently optimistic. Their music carries an uplifting energy, and the logo was designed to express that feeling. The handcrafted approach adds authenticity and personality, making the mark feel personal rather than overly constructed.

The logo is rooted in the idea of Ajna, also known as the third eye. In many traditions, the third eye represents intuition, awareness, and inner vision. It’s a symbol strongly tied to creativity and perception, which naturally connects to both the music and the story behind the project.

The result is a custom wordmark that feels expressive, honest, and full of character: a visual identity that can grow alongside the music it represents. Projects like this are exactly the kind of custom wordmarks I truly enjoy designing.
